Ways to Save water Outdoors
Keep the lawn free from weeds! They suck up all the water. Mow the yard less. Turn off water while washing your car. Don't use sprinklers to play in, go somewhere else to play that reuses water. Cover your pool. Recycle swimming pool water. Shut off nozzles on hoses. Plant drought resistant trees and plants. Use cisterns or barrels to collect rainwater. Use a soil probe to test soil moisture. Also use a broom to clean the driveway. Do not water the pavement.
