In this slide show the images shown are the steps of the water cycle Evaporation, Condensation, Precipitation,Runoff, transporation, and finely water shed.
WATER CYCLE The water cycle consists of Evaporation, Condensation Precipitation and runoff. The water cycle works from the energy from the sun, another way to say this is called solar radiation. Water on Earth has 3 different forms and they are called solid, liquid and gas; the only substance in Earth that does. There are 4 types of ways there can be precipitation- they are rain, snow, sleet and also hail. Evaporation is a period of change in the water cycle when the water heats up and goes up as water vapor. Condensation takes place when the water vapor cools down and changes in the air to make clouds. Precipitation is when the clouds get really full with all the water and has to let all of the water go down as rain. Some of our fresh water comes from the ground. That is called ground water, the water goes to the ground after it rains.
